Mod will add to the game the ability to knock out fragments of hearts from the mobs. Having received the right amount, you can craft a full heart.
How to install Configurable Health Mod:
1. Download and install Minecraft Forge
2. Download mod
3. Open the file using the archiver.
Select the version of the mod and copy it
(without unpacking) to C:\Users\USER_NAME\
AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods
4. Done
